Meet a Chinese-American family with nine children and a passion for the Good News of Jesus. Samuel & Lydia were both raised in idol worshipping homes in Malaysia, but the Lord saved them and has now given them a powerful generational testimony.
(Video: 2 minutes)
Samuel: Hi! My name is Samuel.
Lydia: I'm Lydia.
Samuel: We live in Georgia, in the United States. We homeschool our five boys and four girls. The oldest is 15 and the youngest is 18 months (as of January, 2022). We are both Chinese, born and raised in Malaysia, which is a Muslim country in SE Asia. Both of our families were traditional idol worshippers. We grew up in homes with idol altars and incense for idols.
Lydia: By God's grace, we both received Jesus in our high school years and He brought us here to the United States twenty-five years ago. Looking back, God has separated us from our familiar religions and cultures to set a brand-new path for us, and made it possible for us to raise our children for God's kingdom, completely contrary to what we experienced as kids.
Looking back, God has separated us from our familiar religions and cultures to set a brand-new path for us... our focus right now is to disciple our own children, while reaching out to the lost and needy in our everyday life.

Lydia: As a Mission-Minded Family, our focus right now is to disciple our own children, while reaching out to the lost and needy in our everyday life.
A year ago, I started going out to the Walmart parking lot to share the Gospel every week and we have seen many salvations and healings and we continue to plan the seeds for His Kingdom.
Samuel: As a Mission-Minded Family, our dream is one day to travel the world sharing the Gospel of Jesus, disciple the nations, occupying until Jesus returns.
Lydia: Amen.
Samuel: These are our nine kids:
(Teens and children introducing themselves)
"I'm Charis."
"I'm Toby."
"David."
"Joseph."
"Joshua."
"Jacob."
"Shekinah."
"River."
Lydia: "And Zoe" (with a darling smile and laugh from the youngest . . . so precious!)
Four children reciting a memory verse:
Mark 16:15: Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to everyone."
